Problem with D3 (OSX 10.8.1)

So recently I've noticed that if I load up D3, My whole system runs VERY sluggish. but the game runs Fine.

Today I alt-tabbed over to Spotify, and noticed that everything was lagging, scrolling, minimizing stuff, etc. Bringing up Safari seemed to stutter as well.

I don't have this problem when I play WOW though.

Any suggestions?
