I am a student here at the university of Kansas, and we use a REALLY crappy internet connection called RESNET. which requires an Ethernet connection. anyways long story short it (macbook black 2.16 GHz) was sitting on the ground b/c i was working on a paper, and my girlfriend tripped over the wire braking the clamps or whatever they are, that holds the cable in place. She says she'll get it fixed, but if i remember right isn't the Ethernet plug apart of the logic board? is that the only way to get it fixed? or whats up?

any help would mean a lot to me!
Thanks gang!

No one will know exactly what's up until it's pulled apart, but yes, there's a good chance that's going to be a very expensive accident. Logic boards ain't cheap!
