I just got my MBP last Monday, and I've hit my first hitch - my external display. I have an Acer Al1916W at native resolution 1440 x 900, and I'm using the DVI to VGA connector that came with my MBP. The problem is that the output on the display isn't correct - it stretches vertically slightly. My auto align for the monitor won't correct this. It's extremely annoying as I continually lose the top of Firefox (including the address bar!) among other things. Any idea what I should do about this problem?

I had the same problem it was displaying 1152 x 864...I had to change the refresh rate from 60 to 75Hz, and it worked fine ;) Hopefully thats your problem

Unfortunately it'll only let me select 60Hz for 1440 x 900...
