So I thought I would take the plunge and jailbreak and two week old 3G iPhone.
So I followed the guides to a tee, downloaded QuickPwn and the 2.2.1 firmware.
Followed the guides and prompts and all went well.
It got to the stage where it said something along the lines of waiting for device to reboot or something.
And it just hung for a good 15 mins or so.
I unplugged and it still hung, so I redid the process, same thing, left it another hour, still no change.
So I tried a third time and still no success.
Now when I boot up QuickPwn it says it is only compatible with 2.0 or higher.
And when I try to sync to iTunes to refer to a backup it says its locked by a PIN code, pass this to continue (I know the code but the screen is only showing the pineapple so I can't enter it)
So what can I do, I really don't want to wipe the data on it either, a restore to backup would be fine.

ive been having the same problems with quickpwn. i gave up and just went back to stock firmware

Check It.....

Hi,

If you are using windows, then you have to start three services. These are messenger, terminal, and telnet. To start these services go to control pannel -> administrative tools -> service.

I hope this will work. I have failed three time with jailbreaking my Iphone 3G. Then I use this method and it works.

and DON'T CHANGE DEFAULT ICONS.

Thanks!
