Hi guys.

does anyone know why games like Postal 2 or Freedom Fighters completely crap out on my 24" iMac running XP via bootcamp? It works great with HL2, CS:S, FEAR, COH, etc, etc...
When I say "crap out" I mean really buggy, even the game menu's don't work well.

I don't know what's wrong, could it be the GPU drivers? could it be the fact that these games don't support dual core cpu's? has anyone had the same problem with these or any other games?

Any help is appreciated since I paid for those games and It would be really sad to sell them at this point :)

PS - I started posting this thread in the Games section, but then I decided that it probablyfits better in the "Windows on the Mac" category. Maybe I'm wrong :)

Yep, so I figured, I've had a nasty problem with Splinter Cell too! If you look it up I'm one of the OP's in those "Splinter Cell not working" threads :D

The thing is, the kind of bugs that I had in Splinter Cell have got nothing to do with the problem that I get in these two games, it's just 100% erratic.
I move my character and the screen flicks everywhere! It's really strange!
Maybe I'll try disabling one of the cores to run the game, still, I probably will lose a lot of performance, and I end up not playing them at all, just like it happened with Splinter Cell.

I'm stuck now :D

Good Luck! I'm not a huge gamer so I don't know many solutions to game related problems. The only "game" I run is Flight Simulator X on my MBP, and beyond the game requiring a super computer to run with full graphics, it works fine.
