I have several movies that are in my itunes that are in hd. My problem occurs when I try to stream them to the atv2. I can successfully stream SD content and even videos imported from my iPhone 4 from iPhoto.

I have had success on a few occasions but the time it takes to buffer is absolutely ridiculous.

My Internet speed is irrelevant I believe but just in case it is rios 25/25
The network is a wireless N using a d-link 655 with an iMac, a few sonos ZPs, and a MacBook pro connected to it.

I'm baffled. If I disconnect the apple tv from power and then plug it back in I have had mild success but still it's not very convenient.

Any ideas?

I've found that if I forward certain ports that the apple tv uses to connect with iTunes to the ip address of th apple tv and then turn those port forwards back off the hd content works flawlessly after.

Can anyone explain this?

Mine worked great today after running the update. Previously I had 40 seconds then buffer.... 40 seconds... then buffer... This time it downloaded a 4gig hd movie from iTunes (on my Mac Pro) in it's entirety before I was 10 minutes into the movie... or there abouts anyway.

Seems the issues either was resolved in the update, or the moons aligned.
