Problem with iCal and contacts

I am trying to add my iCal from the cloud to my macbook but I keep getting 'server with secure communication unavailable' and some other blurb.

I have it working on my air and phone fine.

It is also not syncing my address book from the macbook.

Is something wrong with iCloud?

Yeah same problem. I also have the issue that If I put a appt in the iCal it does not copy over more than one day. And syncing is a pain!!!

What are your settings?

I have got calendar working now across all devices but form some reason address book isn't working.

I really want this cloud to work for me as it is so useful for the business I am in and to have calendars and contacts updating across all devices..

My settings for iCal are just my username and password for the cloud and it now seems to work fine.

Contacts however is still not too good
