Hi,
I'm helping my friend with his MacBook. He forgot the password to his Apple Account. We changed the Apple Account password in the System Settings on his MacBook. Then, he successfully installed a new app from the AppStore—he entered the new Apple Account password, and it was accepted.
However, he is unable to log in to iCloud.com via Safari—the new password is not accepted. I'm sure he is entering the password correctly because we even tried saving the new password in the Passwords app and then autofilled it in the login window on iCloud.com.
What could be the problem?
