Running a JB 2.2 iPhone, and tried updating shazam last night and tried a number of times and reboots and it didn't work. I tried downloading another app from the app store and that isn't installing either, and again tried rebooting. It's on my springboard with the loading bar but that's it. On a reboot it asks for my iTunes password but still doesn't install. Anyone know why iam having trouble?

I'm having this problem too. tried installing an app or buying itunes song - asks for my user name and password and then says it's incorrect. But I have mobleMe and my email still works (same name and password).

Honestly, I think it has to do with the jailbreak on the 2.2 firmware...I have started from scratch more then once, and this seems to happen every time. I restored to a non-JB 2.2, and updates go smooth now.

Only way round it was I had to sync the apps with iTunes and that seems to sort it. I can download new apps that fine, but there seems to be a problem with updating them.

I had the same problem when I tried to install a couple of apps over-the-air. I think it's just because my connection wasn't fast enough (Edge/GPRS instead of 3g). Syncing with iTunes solved the problem - my computer downloaded them instead.

Probably best to only install apps (especially large ones) when you are in a wifi hotspot or have reliable 3g coverage.
