iPad Problem with iPad 2 after update of iOS

My daughter’s iPad2 was recently updated to the latest iOS version but now it will not activate because it says the activation server is temporarily unavailable! Has anyone seen this problem before? And if

She says that Apple support simply claimed it was nothing to do with the update and were essentially useless.ui

Hm, very weird. Try to restore it via a computer maybe and see if you are more successful.
