Hi,
i found a iphone in my taxi, it was locked so i couldnt even ring the person who left it behind also left a ps3 game,, i have kept it for 3 months as company policy no has come forward or even rang the office for it so i now want to use it it has been blocked by 02 it seems a waste to bin it any ideas please its the new shape iphone if that helps anyone

First, considering writing in sentences. It will make it much easier to read your post.

As for the phone: if the IMEI is blocked, you're out of luck. You could change it, but that's illegal in the UK.

You can keep the phone as use it as an iPod, but if the previous owner got the IMEI blocked, you won't be able to (legally) use it as a phone anymore.

Take it to any of these small independent phone shops on a cheap high street. When I say 'independent', I mean run by indians. Please be aware that I absolutely mean no offence, that just seems to be the race of people who run these stores. And hey, they're the ones who can unblock it.

Unlocking is different than IMEI changing (which is what's needed to circumvent the blacklist.) If the phone was blocked by O2 (as the OP said in the first post), that implies that the IMEI has been blacklisted -- and the only way to use it will be to change the IMEI, which (in the UK) is highly illegal.

If, on the other hand, it has simply been simlocked to O2, then it's trivial to unlock it.
