Problem with scanned Preview docs

Hi All,

I have a MacBook Pro running High Sierra with a Samsung SCX3200 printer/scanner. When I scan a page with Preview I can see the thumbnail but the scanned doc page is black. If I save and open the doc with Preview, same thing. Also, in Finder, I see a thumbnail of the scanned doc. Yet I can open the doc with Adobe or IOS (saved to Dropbox) no problems.

Any ideas?
