iPod problem with senuti

my hard drive recently got deleted, and now i'm trying to move all of my music from my ipod (just a regular 30GB model...) to my itunes. everyone seems to be having good luck with senuti, but i've had only problems. when i first downloaded senuti would refuse to transfer my songs, giving me the message "senuti was unable to add songs to iTunes. This is most likely because iTunes has a dialog displayed. Please dismiss all dialogs in iTunes before continuing," even when there were no dialog windows open. when i then hit "cancel" the ipod would disappear from senuti, but one song would have been transferred to itunes (the first one in my library, over and over again, regardless of which song or songs i may have selected to transfer). now i've downloaded the beta version of senuti, and about 20 seconds after i plug in my ipod, all of the music information disappears and the senuti screen tells me to plug in an ipod to get started. i have a macbook with mac os x.4.6 and i'm using itunes version 7. any ideas? i'd love to be able to get my music back on my computer. thanks!
