Upgraded from 16 GB TO 128 GB.

At startup I hear the gong sound and see the Apple logo.
The system hangs there.
I do not see the progress bar.

Thoughts?

From personal experience, this happens when the bars are set incorrectly. Try taking the Ram out and putting it back in.

Update

Through process of elimination
I believe I have one bad stick.

Others show up ok.

This stick tried in several slots on its own and with one more module.

Maybe check the contacts of the RAM, gently clean it with a stationery eraser and alcohol?

This is brand new RAM with lifetime warranty. I've reached out to the seller to RMA the RAM.

Thanks!
