When taking "widescreen" (16x9) still pics in video mode (by tapping the white button after starting the video) the image used to "blink" to indicate that the pic was taken. Now under iOS 10, the blink is gone, so there's no reassuring indication at all that the pic was taken. It's really weird to take still pics in this mode now--not knowing whether the photo was actually taken or not. (Note: I tried this on a 6+ and 7+.)

BTW, Apple should just implement a "widescreen" photo mode. The old 4x3 mode is looking very old-fashioned these days.
