Hi, I've got a problem using text editors. Sometimes, when I'm writing something (java code, for example), my computer jams up, the text only appears about one letter/second. Activity Monitor shows cpu use is 100%, the editor takes up almost all of that and ATSServer about 10%.
I've tried both BBEdit and jEdit, and both have the same problem. Restarting the program helps, but only for a while. This didn't appear until I upgraded to Tiger. My machine is: iBook G4 1.2 GHz, 768 MB RAM, OS X 10.4.2. There's nothing special in Console.log or System.log.
