I did a search so I apologize right off the bat if this has been brought up, but I created a card yesterday in the cards app and the app won't let me send it...

anyone else had this problem? It tells me that my credit card info needs updating, but when I go an update it nothing happens, same issue.

One other note that I've noticed is that my "security code" or CVV won't save in my apple id profile, each time I go back into my account information it makes me re-enter it, could this be the reason the app isn't working?

anyways, I attached a pic so you can see the error message I'm getting, interested to hear if someone has a solution.

Not much I can offer to help but I can tell you the CCV clears out as a security feature. That should not be the root cause.

Do you have security features set with your CC company? As an example, BOA (I believe) can be configured to send an IM when you attempt a transaction that you then have to go approve. Again, not much of a help, but a possible direction.

Also, give this a peek -> https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3409298?start=0&tstart=0

nope theres no security issues, i use it to purchase apps and music with no issues, this app is the only thing

unfortunately there is no solution in those threads :( just re-enforces that there is a problem with some peple

guess i'm just unlucky

edit: in a related note I just redeemed my $100 gift card to try and use that instead, but its still asking me for my CC info, how do i make it use the gift card instead?

Apple asks that you add your email...odd, but the only way to have this work

Settings > Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > Then tap on another "Apple ID" again. Update email and you are done. You can now go back to the Cards app and complete your purchase.

Had same issue. Cards kept saying to review settings information. Email address was fine. Mine ended up being that it cards won't let you check out if you don't have a credit card on file with your iTunes account. My iTunes account was setup with PayPal. Once I added a card it worked just fine.
