Problem with the display

Hello everyone.I have a problem.Right now i'm using my mini connected to a display using mini display port to vga.The problem is - my screen goes black and after a few seconds it is working again.I'm thinking the problem is coming from the minidisplay port adapter as i tried the display with other computer and it's working.It's this or there's something wrong with my mini :( I don't have other display right now so i don't know what's wrong.Have any of you have such problem ? I rly hope that the problem is with the display adapter ...
