I have a problem with the Evga NVDIA GTX 780 video card (with video included)

I'm working like every day and my Macpro crashes, I'm Hard Restart my Macpro and it can't boot up anymore (in the video) it shows the Logon screen with squares for a few moments then goes black, and repeat.....

I excluded other devices, when replacing a different video card of GeForce GT 120, Macpro worked fine

I have consulted on youtube about the issue of Flash GTX 680 for MAC OS, but there is no video about whether my GTX 780 can Flash or not,

Please give me a good idea to handle and fix the problem

I work on OS 10.8.5 with Mac 5.1, the screen you see, it's another hard drive that I tried to try, but that's all.

link:

Thanks all.

GTX 780 is not self-flashable like GTX-680, only MVC can flash it for pre-boot configuration support. Your problem seems hardware related, maybe the GPU is dying. Anyway, it's not firmware related in any way.

Thank you for the reply. I am using Mac pro 5.1, and plan to go to Mojave, please tell me which Video Card will be the best to use. It's relatively good to use for editing .

I just finished your tutorial, very nice. Thank you for the useful sharing for the community.

After watching, I am still wondering some things about:
NVIDIA Quadro K5000 for Mac
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 Mac Edition

1. Quadro K5000 too good. but the price is high.
2. GeForce GTX 680 Mac Edition. There seems to be some trouble installing Mojave.

I am still not sure, please tell me more about this. Thank u again.

This is the thread about GPUs: GPU Compatibility List for cMP. Ask your questions there.

I wouldn't buy a NVIDIA GPU today. Go for a RX 580, at least.
