Problem with the Mic and Earpiece

So the mic and earpiece on my iPhone aren't working, but I can still hear and talk through the headphones. Weird problem to be having.

I'm attempting a restore right now, but the iTunes store appears to be down, which means that my phone's a brick til it comes back up?

Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions? Can someone confirm that the iTunes store is down and it's not just my internet connection?

Yeah, the itunes store is down for me too. I just updated my iphone, so we're in the same boat. I'm assuming it's going to be useless until the store is fixed.

Try plugging and unplugging your headphones a few times?

I had the same problem and it fixed it for me. I assume the iPhone thinks the headphones are still plugged in and is trying to send the audio to them instead of the speaker????
