I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 and everytime I take a picture with the timer on instead of taking just one photo it takes 3 automatically. How can I turn this off?

Plus, my 1GB memory card is only saying I have room for 2 pictures and it's empty!

Any help would be appreciated :)

Does the camera do this (take 3 pictures) all the time, or only when it's on timer? One of the things you might have done is to have activated the bracketing mode, where the camera takes a right-on exposure, an under exposure, and an over exposure (useful for difficult light situations and HDR images). About the card- it sounds a bit weird. Have formatted the card in the camera?

Thanks for the response.

It only takes the three when the timer is on, no other time.

It is weird that it's doing that, but I just read through the manual and formatted the card on the camera and now it's working! Thanks so much. I guess when I unplugged it from my iMac the other day without ejecting it first damaged it (oops!)
