Problem with uninstalling smcfancontrol?

I read that the changes made by the app stay even when uninstalling the app. Is this really a problem? My macbook C2D's fan spins at 1800RPM constantly, but that's a normal speed right?

You don't believe everything on the internet is true, do you?

Straight from the FAQ

All changes smcFanControl does to the fan controlling get lost after you shutdown your computer (power off, not restart) or enter standby mode (as far as you don't have smcFanControl running) . Minimum fan speed then falls back to the system defaults values.
