Hey everyone,

I got a new mac pro around 3 weeks ago and I have been having some difficulty whenever I connect any external hard drive(outside of my WD external hard drive) via usb 3.0 to my mac. Whenever I try to move around any files it either starts then stops, or simply spins until I force quit. With my SSD, whether it actually disconnects properly or I have to force quit, it gives me an error about disconnecting improperly. Additionally, whenever I run Resolve and try to pull a file off of the hard drive I again get the spin wheel of death. The drives work properly on my macbook.

Any ideas? I have tried different ports, as well as a usb 3.0 hub.

Haven't checked the cables to see if they were the issue, but I would doubt the cables to both drives are faulty as they worked properly on my macbook.
