Problem with watching movies on VLC

My problem is:
When i`m watching a movie on VLC everything is fine but suddenly in about 5 mins the movie is lagging for a moment and it is very annoying... is it normal or i have a problem with something ... or i`m watching with stupid player ?!Thank you

on software update application i installed everything... when i click on "check now" there are no updates...
PS. i made it now and i have not tried yet to watch movie... i`ll try!

ok i update everything but its the same and its the same in Divx player too!Only on Quick time there is no lag!! wtf is going on ?!i have perian !

i uninstall divx and flip4 but everything is the same :/ HELPPPPPPPP its so annoying (i dont know why but only on quick time there is no lag!
