Thanks, @Taz Mangus .

I removed Avira but I don't know how to uninstall TCPBlock because I didn't find it in the applications folder.

Other doubt: What's the best antivirus for Yosemite?

TCBlock is a preference pane, you can find it in the System Preferences.

OS X does not need any Antivirus or malware utilities. Stay away from them.

Hi @george_i

I did not know that (about TCBlock and Antivirus/malware utilities). Thanks to clarify it. I removed TCBlock.

Thank you

You can still use a malware scanner if you want to. It’s actually not a bad idea if you’re exchanging files with Windows users frequently. Just be selective and don’t install the first one you encounter or be swayed by their performance on Windows. ClamXav has a good reputation and is pretty lightweight.

I had some bad experiences with Sophos a few years ago and it caused kernel panics as well.

You're probably experiencing what everyone (including myself) in this thread is experiencing: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7000724

There's something in 10.10.3 and .4 which causes the system to have random kernel panics on certain Macs (possibly with Intel 4000 GPU), and so far there doesn't seem to be a fix for it.

Thanks, @KALLT

I'll test it.

I concur with KALLT. I have used ClamXav in the past constantly after download a suspicious file. It has yet to find malware for OS X on my system but it did find Windows viruses under OS X so I just deleted the files to be sure. Great app IMO.

Interesting. I have two Mac Minis in my family that are from 2012 (with the HD 4000 GPU). Neither have Kernel Panicked yet and both are on 10.10.3 (although one is operating as a Server).
