Problems after jailbreaking

every time I try to open cydia installer it crashes to the springboard. It worked for a time after I got the phone jailbroken, then while I was downloading software apps the program froze my phone and I had to power the phone down. Now it will not open without crashing.

Also I can't access any of the edge settings through the settings menu, I have to use the boss preferences apps to turn edge off and on. I do revive data from the edge network I just can't access the settings.

Other than not being able to use VVM because I have added it to my plan yet things are going pretty well.

Any suggestions for either problem without reflasging the firmware again?

Whenever I had problems with my jailbroken iphone I would just do a restore. Worked for me. I don't really see any other solution to your problem. I don't think it is possible to reinstall "Installer".

I have re-flashed/installed my custom firmware to get the installer working again.

What about the "edge" problem, not being able to access the settings? Can anyone shed some light on this topic, I have searched the forum and the web. The only thing I can come up with is relating to firmware 1.1.1
