ok so unluckily my panther discs had gotten orange juice spilt on them , luckily i had the the dmg files of all three discs on my computer for backup, but now i mounted the dmg files copied all the files to my blank cd then when i go to burn it where the eject is on the dock it starts to burn for a sec then says application error , i tried using toast titanium but not sure exaclty how to do this, please help me how to burn a data cd thanx.
also am i doin it right by mounting the dmg then copying the files to the blank cd

i suspect u dont even own panther and you downloaded the .dmg's off the web.

Am i right or what. i have spilt oj on cds before nothing happens.

I got it.

Here your solution.

1. Wipe OJ off of CD and clean with non-abrasive cleaner, such as say soap and water.

2. Allow to dry

3. Insert CD into CD-ROM.

Problem solved!

Anyone have a serial number for Office v.X, mine got OJ spilt on it and I can't read it anymore  :D

P.S. That was a joke.

well i guess u suspected wrong and thanx for no help at all , being that i dont wanna put the oj coated cd in my new superdrive might be a reason and if u need to hear the whole story i wasnt home my dog got to food i left on my desk and knocked over everything and it was sittin on the cds and keyboard and mouse pad for about three hours
but thanx for the help

I agree, OJ isnt going to do anything horrible to CDs. Well nothing that a little luke warm water and an old tshirt wont fix. BUT he does have a point. I too have been having problems with this. Ill mount a drive image and Toast wont burn it. Especially a large image that I wanted to burn to DVD, Toast sees it but wont burn it. Any ideas?

i was just kidding. god cant take a joke. it just seems a little odd that you spilt oj on your disks. did you try and clean them.

lol my bad im just stressin over this , i didnt even try to clean them yet i also had this question about many things ive tried to burn wit macs besides audio the regular burner software isnt that great so i figured id pop the ques

OJ won't damage CDs

Espnetboy3, I don't quite understand why you can't just wipe the OJ off? Did it eat through the plastic? Did the dog chew up the CDs, cause they were mmmmmmm... Tasty?!

Also, looking at your posting history, raises some flags that you aren't being entirely honest.

Problem with "dads" FCP 3 serial number
Problem with "brothers" FCP 4 serial number
Problem "backing up" DVDs

My only suggestion would be to be a little more abstract to hide your intent.

Why dont u stop bustin balls and just answeer his question if you even can. If not leave him alone. how do u know whether hes lying or not? if you think he is and dont want to answer his question then go away and let someone else answer the question. Enough with the accusations already.

Read the rules

 From the rules reminder.

5) No Warez/Serials talk.

Its obvious hes trying to pirate software (C'mon OJ on his CD???), so he shouldn't be posting questions about how to do it here. And its not his first attempt, see his posting history.

I just said he should be a little more stealth about these types of requests.

well the only time i use this forum is when i have questions or problems thats why i have a posting history i dont just talk to talk and post up pics of my dekstop lol, and if i did know how to get files like panther on the net i think i would know how to burn a data cd wit my new macintosh .

Lots of people have posted with this same exact issue after dling Panther off a P2P network, so forgive some people's suspicions.

If you have valid dmgs that you created you should be able to burn them directly, not mount them and copy to a disc.
