I wanted to create a workflow in Mail as simple as showing me only unread messages that quite often is difficult to spot for sure when trying to locate in the main browser window.

The actions were as followings:

  1. Find Mail items: Find "messages" || Everything is true | message --> marked as unread
  2. Reveal Mail items.
  3. It failed. I either couldn't get it working at all or it called up a blank window titled "Gmail. Focused on some_number messages" or smth. I played with selecting accounts then filtering out boxes, followed by messages - very jumble structure of which I constantly found myself struggling to make out: do accounts contain boxes or converse is true? This fell through too.
  4. How do I build this workflow? Is it possible at all in Automator? "Reveal Mail messages" - what is it for? Is it usable?
