I've had the following problems ever since the first iOS 11 update.... maybe even before that. I'm hoping some of you can help me. My buddy has some of the same issues.

1) Whenever I put a call on hold to take another call, it hangs up on both calls.

2) Sometimes (but not always) when dialing a phone number, the entire phone will freeze, then will unfreeze and very rapidly hit every button that I hit.

3) If I am in my text message app and want to send a text to a new person, I open the new message tab and then click on add a contact but many times (again, not all of the time) it won't show me who I am looking for. I have to cancel, go into contacts under the phone app, find my contact and then click send a message. If I'm connected to CarPlay when going this route, it still won't let me type a message - only speak it.

4) When I plug my phone into my car CarPlay automatically connects which I am fine with, but then it starts playing songs.... usually songs I dont want. There is no way to shut it off unless I unplug my phone and plug it back in. Even ending all apps doesn't end it.

I have the iPhone 7 Plus on Verizon and my buddy has the iPhone X on Verizon.

I'm really hoping you guys can help!

I failed to mention, the CarPlay is connected via the Lightning Cable, not BlueTooth.

I would delete everything and restore from a ground zero phone from backup. Sounds like a botched update when there are freezes and inconsistent behavior

Backup device either iCloud or iTunes

Put device into recovery mode @ https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263 and update the device to preserve data. (Rewrite system files to reduce corruption)

If problem persist or want to start a clean state, restore the device instead and restore backup or set up as new device. Sometimes, backup can contain corrupt data as well.
