HEre are a few of the problems I've been having with my powermac G4 with 20 inch display.

1. About once a month, for a period of 2 days, my computer goes to sleep, wakes up, goes to sleep, wakes up, goes to sleep, wakes up, goes to sleep wakes up, and then eventually shuts down completely.

NOTE: I've taken my computer in three times for this problem. First they said it was a third party memory problem so crucial replaced that. Then they said it was a processor problem so they replaced the processors. Now its doing it AGAIN, and they want me to bring it in AGAIN!

2. When trying to install Tiger it gets all the way though the installation and eventually says, Error installing, please retry.

3. Occasionally fricken iChat tells me that i have sent too much information after one send.

PLEASE HELP!!!

To me, I'd say it's a logic board issue, I definatily would have replaced that before the processor. I was an Apple tech for a year and a half and only replaced 2 processor's the entire time I was there. I replaced a lot more Logic boards.

Where are you taking it? Is it to an Apple Store, an Authorised Apple Service Provider, Apple Specialist, or I hope not CompUSA. If you've had the machine in for service this many times and it's still under warranty, I'd call Apple and tell them what's been going on. If it isn't under warranty, I'd still call Apple directly and let them know that you've brought it in for the same problem several times and paid for replacement parts only to have the problem come back.

Most likely all the problems your having are a result of the same issue.

I would make them replace the logicboard. Obviously its not RAM, or the CPU. That basically leaves the logicboard as thats the only part that could screw anything major. Its been there twice already. Be very firm, but yet polite at the same time.
