I am having a difficult time applying a custom icon to several third-party & App Store applications when I apply a Winterboard theme I've been putting together???

I've created a WB theme folder and placed it in the following path: var/stash/theme.xxxxx/my_custom_theme folder. I've then created an Icons folder within that folder, which is where I am dropping in the icons for all of the apps I want to apply custom icons to.

Here are a couple examples of some of the apps that I am having a really hard time changing the icons for (by placing the custom icons in the aforementioned theme folder):

NetNewsWire
Urbanspoon
SmugShot

I've done my best to get the spelling and capitalization of the icons correct, but nevertheless, I cannot get these (and a couple other random icons) to change, no matter what I've tried!

Anyone have any idea how I can go about effectively applying a custom icon for these applications?

They are case sensitive, and if there are spaces in their names, you must include them in the name of your replacement icon. Vice versa, if there are no spaces.

If your icons are not changing, you most likely did not name them exactly the same.

If that isn't the case, are your icons the proper size? I believe they are supposed to be 60x60, if I recall correctly.

The best way that I have found to get the size correct, is to use an existing icon as a template.

Also, keep in mind that if you have multiple themes set in Winterboard, they are listed in order of priority. In other words, if you select multiple themes, that all contain icon replacements, the icons from the first theme will be used. If anything is remaining that does not have a new icon, it will be replaced by one, if available in the next theme in the list.

Do you have mulitple themes checked off in Winterboard?

My mistake...I had the capitalization wrong for each of the specified apps I'd mentioned. Thanks for your input though!

No problem. I suspected that this would be your problem, as I learned this very same lesson from experience. ;)

It would be great if there was a massive list that people could refer to in order to verify that the spelling/capitalization of their app icons is correct (rather than having to browse through all of your app folders to find out...

How about starting that list here! Here's what I got so far, and please feel free to respond back and add onto my list:
