I can't do any data since about 4:30 this afternoon. Was going find and around 4:15 things slowed to a crawl, now for the past 4 hours the email has not checked and when I go into Safari I get a "Could Not Activate Cellular Network" error. I can make and receive phone calls though.

Anybody else experiencing problems?

Edit: Turned off 3G and it worked fine, guessing the 3G towers are having problems here.

Just checked my iPhone....data is good. Was able to open up some web pages, open the App Store and check mail with no problems.

Just saw your edit...it probably is the 3G since I'm on the first gen iPhone.

Yeah, I'm having the same issue here in VB. I noticed it around 3:30PM. Still doesn't work.

Near the intersection of Indian River and Kempsville here. :)

Sounds like a widespread issue then. I am trying to chat w/ATT Support but may give up since it is not just localized to me.

Thanks!

Edit: They have no reported problems, but I did not have time to do their troubleshooting before a network problem could be reported, so they still have no documented problems on it.

It is nice to hear I am not alone. Edge works fine for me but 3g stopped around 5ish as far as I could tell. Things have been working better for me till now. I have been getting a great signal in my house. I did get an email from Att yesterday about improvements in the area, hopefully this is what is going on.

No reported problem?? I live off Indian River by the Interstate and It doesn't work. Went down by Greenbriar Mall and it didn't work...pretty widespread for not knowing what is going on. There is a new tower going up for someone off Indian River by the new Wawa and Harris Teeter...maybe they botched something?

Edit: back up and running shortly after posting this.

My brother was having issues earlier in Hatteras, NC. My iPhone was working 3G but has since reverted to Edge.

yeah, I noticed the tower over the weekend I think. Yesterday evening it had some hardware on it. Don't know who it belongs to though. Went to the wawa this morning but I didn't notice any signs or trucks to help figure it out.

I am back to working again on 3G.

All seemed to start working last night around 10:00 while I was in the Norfolk Airport Continued to work at my house as well, so hopefully fixed now.
