Sold my mate a PowerMac (Dual 2Ghz) and he's had a problem that I haven't had. Renamed his profile to his name, and after saving stuff to the Desktop and logging-out or turning off the Mac, it's lost after he turns it back on?

Any ideas?

Make a new account? That's probably the easiest fix.

This is how to fix the problem. Open user home folder with the get info from finder or pressing option i over his home folder icon.

on the permission make sure it is all unlocked change the username and group to his name, then click the "Apply to enclosed item...", this will fix all the permissions, and should fix all the problems
