Is anyone else having any problems playing back videos?

I stuck the PB on my MacbookAir (2013?) , obviously under Yosemite / Mavericks it was playing video files through VLC and/or Quicktime fine. But in El Capitan its dropping frames like anything, super choppy video, but the audio is always fine.

Not massive videos, mostly DVD rips i've made, but none of them at even 720p.

Any ideas?

Having the same problem. VLC, Quicktime, and Youtube alike - everything is fine for about a minute, then choppy as hell for another minute, and then freezes the whole computer (sometimes the audio still plays, others everything is locked entirely for about a minute.) Rinse, repeat. Very frustrating.

My issue went away after i updated to latest beta. So it all seems to be fine now, and i'm running 10.11 Beta (15A243d) . Latest a 12 hour flight to Japan watching stuff the whole way!

I do have video choppiness once in a while since Mavericks, even until now in El Capitan, but not to the extend of freezing...
