Hi there

We are a large higher education college which has a number of Windows PCs and Mac running on an AD network and we are having some trouble printing to printers that are shared on a Windows server from Mac OSX 10.4 clients. The printers are shared on a Windows server and are setup correctly. I have followed the steps to add a windows printer via samba but I get the following errors when I try to print:-

Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds

We also use 10.5 clients and I followed the steps to add printers from Windows for them and they work fine. Students and lecturers can print from them no problem

Has anybody else encounter the same problems?

Many Thanks

Well, I ran into a similar problem in my home. I don't know if it would be the same problem you are having. I was networked with my PC, had the printer added on my Mac and was unable to print. I asked in my local Apple store and they told me I had to download something in order for this to work. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of it. You might also want to check with the printer manufacturer. I use HP and have found them to be helpful.
