I couldn't figure out how to search this, but it's something that keeps happening to me. If I Google something in Safari using the address bar, it will bring up results, I can click on something, and most of the time it works fine. But, sometimes when I try and swap back to the Google results, the page will either go blank or get stuck on the web site page. If I'm several pages deep into a site I can keep swiping back on the site without problem, but when I then the swipe back to Google won't work. Even if I type in my search in the address bar again or refresh it won't work and I have to close the tab and try again. Anyone else?

Going back to the search results works fine on my iPhone 13 using iOS 17.3. I’m wondering if you would benefit from deleting all cache and cookies. Have you tried long-pressing the back arrow in Safari and then selecting the Google search results from that list? Though I’m not sure that will work, it sounds like a problem with the Google page itself.

I've had a similar issue recently, i've taken to opening results in a new tab to work round it.
