Two niggling issues with my Macbook. Hoping someone can shed some light.

Firstly, after sleep or restart my Macbook does not automatically connect to my wireless connection. Each time I have to manually select.
I've googled and searched on this forum. I've tried a hundred and one 'solutions' including using join by "preferred connections" and join by "automatic", still no luck.

Secondly, temp monitoring software appears to be broken. The temp readings do not update in real time in any of the monitoring software I've tried, including coreduotemp and hardware monitor.

It gets stuck on one reading, for example now it's on 50C no matter how heavily I use the laptop.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the software and all associated files, but no difference. Like the other problem, googling shows that a minority(but sizeable number) of Macbook owner have exactly the same problem.

I'm just hoping someone out there has managed to solve these problems.

Thanks
