I updated to iOS 5 on Thursday morning. Since updating, the battery life on my iPhone 3GS is horrible - this morning, it has gone from 99% to 48% in 2 hours 15 minutes, with very little usage - no phone calls, very nominal usage, mostly waking it from sleep mode. This is the third or fourth cycle of that symtom. The Wi-Fi is OFF. Location services is ON. Prior to the update, the battery life was considerably longer. In addition, the Bluetooth function no longer automatically syncs to my car when I get into it; I have to manually go into the phone to turn off the Bluetooth and then turn it back on. While I can't yet say these problems are the fault of iOS 5, it's quite a coincidence that the problems began occuring right after the update.

Until I can resolve these problems, I am hesitant to suggest or recommend the iOS 5 update.

Has anyone else noticed these problems, particularly with an iPhone 3GS? Any known or suggested solutions?

Thank you.

try a full restore as a new phone from iTunes. then transfer all data manually.
