iPod Problems with 5th Gen. iPod video

I have a fifth generation ipod (video) and when i plug it into an outlet or my computer it takes about 5 minutes to get enough power to turn on. It then shows a white screen with an ipod and a sad face with a yield sign telling me to go to the apple ipod support page. Any way to fix this?

Did you go to the support page? There is a decent amount of information on there. Try that first before going to the store.
