wife's work has some old big advertising screen which is some sort of android box attached to a screen all built in together. there's no instructions at all.

they want to use it in one of the hotels showing excursion adverts. I couldn't find any way to get it to do a slide show, so I made a video of the slides and used the built in video app to keep playing it on a loop.

but the machine goes to sleep and the video stops. its not the screen, its the android device.

in the settings there's a sleep setting but you can't turn it off, the best there is is sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity. in the developers settings there's an option don't sleep if connected to charger. but of Course theres no battery its all mains powered so that doesn't activate.

so either I have to somehow stop that, or use a different app to either show the video or a slideshow of pictures, that will stop it going to sleep.

Screen timeout within the display setting within the android menu?

Assuming it has one?

Search screen always on within the play store too, there's apps that will do it apparently.
