iPad Pr 12.9-inch third generation. After one of the iPadOS 15 updates, I started to frequently encounter problems with charging the iPad from computers: The iPad would not charge when plugged into a Mac. Charging from a Mac resumes when I restart the iPad, until the problem comes back again (pretty much every other day). Charging from power outlets works fine. I'm confident that the issue is with the iPad as it's the same with 3 different Macs.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix that. I've already tried reseting all settings - it did not help.

I would suspect a hardware problem, but whether it warrants hardware replacement or not depends on how much you rely on charging using Mac.

On a desperate move, you could factory reset your iPad and see how it goes. If it doesn’t, at least logs would tell Apple you did that troubleshooting step.

I reset and erased the iPad and then did a DFU update and restore from a backup. No luck - the problem is still there.
