So basically since DP1 I have had the problem that in a finder window whenever I open one it has the info sidebar on the right. Even when I get rid of it the next time I open a window it is there againHere is a picture of what I am talking about.

Also, another problem I have with finder is that when I scroll through a folder, then open a sub-folder of that folder, then click the back button, I am redirected back to the top of the original folder, instead of where I was scrolled to when I opened the sub-folder. Has anyone else experiences these problems or know of a possible fix? Thanks in advance.

Your first problem, what you call the info sidebar is actually the preview pane.
Top menubar->View->Hide Preview, that should fix it.
