Has anyone else had problems with their iCloud email? I updated all my computers and iOS devices to the latest versions, and migrated my MobileMe account to iCloud (after some problems because the Apple servers were being bombarded in the first couple of days after the rollout). First I had some address book and other syncing issues. Now I can't get my new iCloud (the migrated MobileMe) email account up and running. When I go into mail.app preferences it shows an invalid outgoing and incoming server address. The problem is, it won't let me change it to the correct settings - the boxes are greyed-out. I've tried deleting the account and adding it again, but the same problem occurs each time.

I've been fairly lucky in the past with upgrading Apple products, software, etc., but this iCloud rollout has been absolutely horrible.

----------

Nevermind, I figured out what was happening. For some strange reason, it kept unchecking the box to sync Mail in the iCloud pane of sys prefs. After several attempts, I finally got it to keep the box checked and it added the account to mail.app automatically.

Problems with enabling Mail in the iCloud preference pane

How exactly did you manage to enable Mail in the Mail, Contacts & Calendars preference pane? I have the same issue for more than a day now: whenever I try to enable mail, it is unchecked again when I revisit the preference pane. Same issue with the disabling of MobileMe Mail: it is automatically enabled.

All over the place
Same here (except that in my case MobileMe does not claim the email).
How did you manage to make the iCloud mail setting persistent? It seems to be an inconsequential matter but does not inspire confidence as it is.
Thanks!
