So I had to restore my phone......i downloaded something called swap font and it totally screwed my phone. Had to do restore and jailbreak using ziphone. Now Installer is giving me issues when i try and download BSD subsystem...says "package download failed". Reset phone and still same error, any idea why?

I'm having the same issue. After jailbreaking 1.1.4 with Ziphone everything was great, I downloaded BSD and Apollo from installer without issue but now no matter what I do I keep getting the same error. I haven't tried restoring yet, since I thought it might have been an issue with the installer app. I'm going to search online and see if anyone else has heard of this.

Yeah - I just realized I shouldn't have replied. In either case Swoosh0217 did post the answer to my problem in another thread. Here it is below. Thank you!

"No you don't restore for this small problem. Ive had this issue many times and I keep telling everyone... uninstalling and reinstalling the installer works!

1. Go to Uninstall, select the installer app and Uninstall it. This will automatically reinstall your installer.

2. Press home button, turn off your phone and reboot.

3. Go back to installer and now try installing the BSD package."

Doing the reinstall/uninstall, pressing the home key and then rebooting did work for me, even though my problem was downloading any app not just BSD.

I tried this when i had the same problem and it didn't work for me. If its the same for anyone else, try these steps i posted the other day. It was the only way i could get it sorted and its really straight forward:

Based on my experience this method always works. The only that I didn't add which I forgot to mention is to do a refresh from "Sources". Here I added that on this instruction...

1. Go to Uninstall, select the installer app and Uninstall it. This will automatically reinstall your installer.

2. Go to Sources and click Refresh.

3. Press home button, turn off your phone and reboot.

4. Go back to installer and now try installing the BSD package."
