Whenever I want to mute my MBP, I press the F3 key, more often than not, the volume stays put, so I have to turn the volume back on by pressing the F5 key and then F3 again, at which point it mutes. Is this a common issue?

It happens with me, whenever i want to UNmute, i have to toggle F3 and F5 about 4 times until it gets the point.

Really annoying.

I'm beginning to think it's a software issue that will hopefully be resolved in 10.5.

Lets hope so. It's not really causing me alot of problems but when i go to unmute, i always forget ill have to toggle it first so end up forgetting that it's still muted when i'm trying to listen to one of my magical creations on Mac C Sound and blame myself.

Then i realise.
