Hello, i'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I had updated my iPhone 2G Edge this morning Everything was fine, it was downloading the 2.0 update but afterwards my iPhone stopped working and gave me the screen on the phone in which it shows the USB iPhone cable being prompted to connect to iTunes and the slider says slide for emergency. Now my phone is dead and I can't access anything. Has this happened to anyone else? When I connect it to iTunes numerous times, the message comes up with "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection timed out." I'm new to the forums and any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I have that exact problem too. I moseyed down to the Apple Store, and they essentially said "we have no clue, but we've seen it a dozen times already today"

Happening to everyone, with people getting past it after a few hours worth of attempts.

Basically the iPhone has downloaded and installed 2.0 onto the phone but the iphone needs to be reactivated through iTunes. This means going through Apples servers, which at the moment, are flooded with people trying the same thing. You just need to keep attempting to get past the "Accessing the iTunes store..." message and it'll authorise and resync your iPhone. How long that will take is anyone's guess and it seems to be luck of the draw.

A lot of people are experiencing the same problems, as is myself, and a lot of discussion can be found in the thread "Cant get past Accessing iTunes store.." thread.

Hope you get it activated soon!
