I have a very old MacMini G4 (running Tiger) that I am trying to reconfigure so that I can pass it on to my daughter. The MM does not have an airport card so I've purchased a Wireless-G USB Network Adapter.

I can't, however, get the thing to work. The adapter can see my wireless network, but it keeps asking me for a "WPA Pre-Shared Key". The authentication type is "WPA2-PSK". Plain old "WPA Personal" does not seem to be an option (even though that's what my Airport Extreme is putting out), and though it is asking for my "pre-shared key" there is no place for me to input what I do have - namely the wireless network's password.

In some configurations the Wireless Utility is also asking for a "Hexadecimal Key". I don't know what that is either.

One more thing - as I have fiddled with this the MM sometimes sees the Ethernet Adapter (it shows up under "Network Settings") and sometimes fails to recognize it (it is there but grey-ed out).

Thanks, and I will be very greatful for any help the forum can offer.
