I just bought a brandnew iMac 20" 2.4Ghz machine yesterday. So far I love it. However I am having a problem with the USB interface. I have my iPhone dock hooked up to one of the USB ports on the back of the screen. When I dock my iPhone things seem to work fine, but then randomly the USB connection drops, then comes back a second later. This causes the sync to stop and start again. Or if I'm just charging, it causes iTunes to fire up and start a sync.

I have used this dock and cable with my MacBook Pro with no problems. Any ideas?

Well I just switched it to a different USB port on the back of the iMac and so far it's been ok. Maybe the port is bad.
