I run Steam on two Macs in my house. My Mac Pro has 10.6 on it, and I have had no problems with steam, torchlight, portal or HL2 running on it.
However, my other iMac (a late 2006 core 2 Duo) running 10.5 has had some issues. I am not trying to run valve games on it, but I would like to run Torchlight on it. The IMac is down stairs, and when I am watching my kids, I would like to be able to get in a few minutes of dungon exploring.
Steam loaded up, and appears to run OK. However, Torchlight is giving me issues. Last night the game froze up twice on me, giving me a spinning wheel. It pretty much completely locked up finder (I could move the mouse, but I couldn't click on anything, ive been trying to play it windowed). After a few minutes, the mouse even stops responding, and I have to hold down the power button to get the Imac to reboot.
Is anyone else having trouble with steam or torchlight under 10.5?
