Problems with the Facebok App

Hi - I got an Iphone 3g yesterday and downloaded the Facebook app for it. It worked fine yesterday but now when I tap the icon on the main menu it just comes up momentarily with the Facebook page (blank apart from te word facebook at the top) and then reverts to the menu. I've tried re-downloading it but I can't because it says I already have it installed!!

Any suggestions?

uninstall then reinstall?

to uninstall hold the icon till things get wiggly. there should be an "x" on the facebook app now. press the "x" and it will uninstall.

then reinstall

I had that problem too until I turned the phone off (hold top button until prompted to slide for power off) then turn the phone back on.

Seems like you have to turn the phone off once a day or once every other day to clear the memory. Since I've been doing this I've had no issues with any app closing abruptly.

just a warning that you will start to see a lot of apps crash and close out before opening and restarting your iphone.. etc etc... so just get used to it now

Oh, but I do love my iphone if anyone was wondering!!
